They managed a level four for the spin, the fast rotational lift, their amazing twizzles, the fabulous curve lift and the incredible straight-line lift. The serpentine footwork received a level two as the wonderful one foot section was rated a level two for her and three for him. They showed also a passionate choreo step sequence, putting a touching final with the exquisite sliding movement. He not only surpassed his best scores but registered two new World record with 224,92 points in the free segment and 335,30 points overall. The crowd was holding the breath but screamed when Hanyu hit another quad toe in combination with double toe. His only mistake was a single Axel in the ending. He managed all level fours for his spins, finishing his noteworthy routine so exhausted. The Japanese skater earned 194,00 points for the free skating and 291,43 points overall to stand in second. He pulled himself together to ace a triple Axel, a smooth combination triple Lutz-triple toe and a great triple flip in the second portion. Arriesgó el triple Axel en el inicio de su programa, pero no consiguió mantener el equilibrio en la salida y no completó la rotación del salto. Bordó después un triple flip y ejecutó una gran combinación triple Lutz-triple toe en una vibrante segunda mitad. She also managed a confident lead over her teammates heading into the Free Skating. Alina Zagitova (RUS) put the emotion into her skating and nailed all of her elements to stand in the second place. She'll try to conquer her thrird straight medal at the Grand Prix Final after a gold and a silver. Anna Shcherbakova (RUS) also produced a clean and notable routine and rounded the top-3. The defending Grand Prix Final champion Rika Kihira (JPN) is sitted in the sixth place but has planned a quad jump in the free program and will fight for a medal. Alena Kostornaia (RUS) captivated with a magical and clear routine to “The Leftovers” soundtrack by Max Richter. She nailed a wonderful triple Axel right out of the gate and then hit a fantastic triple Lutz and an amazing combination triple flip-triple toe. Her beautiful spins and the exquisite step sequence merited a level four and she posted a new world record score with 85,45 points. Alina Zagitova (RUS) completed a high-class and profound routine to “Me Voy” by Yasmin Levy. She hit a triple Lutz-triple loop combination in the opening and then landed a fantastic double Axel and a consistent triple Lutz in the second half. Her moving step sequence received a level four as well as all of her great spins. It was an outstanding routine, not only for the excellent technical elements but also for her heartfel interpretation. She obtained her best score this season on 79,60 points. Anna Shcherbakova (RUS) turned in a remarkable program skating to “The Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” soundtrack. She aced a soft double Axel, an easily landed triple flip and an amazing combination triple Lutz-triple toe in the second half. She managed all level fours for their perfect spins and the smooth step sequence. She compiled 78,27 points, posting a new season’s best. Bradie Tennell (USA) delivered a sophisticated and expressive routine to “Mechanisms” and “Chronos” by Kirill Richter. Her program, full of movements that reflected the character of the music, started with a wonderful triple Lutz in combination with a sketchy triple toe and an excellent double Axel. In the second portion she aced a smooth triple flip and obtained a level four for all the spins and also her fantastic step sequence merited the highest level. She stands in fourth at 72,20 points. Alexandra Trusova (RUS) put out a powerful display skating to “Peer Gynt” by Edvard Grieg. She risked a triple Axel in the beggining but went down on the landing and the jump was underrotated. She hit then a triple flip. In the second half, more vibrant, she completed a great triple Lutz in combination with triple toe and collected a level four for the spins and a level three for the footwork. She was fifth at 71,45 points. Rika Kihira (JPN) fought the way through her original program to “Breakfast in Baghdad” performed by Youn Sun Nah. She started with a somewhat shaky triple Axel but then fell on the end of the triple flip-triple toe combination as the last jump was underrotated. She nailed a triple loop in the second portion and gathered a level four for the step sequence and two of her spins. She stays in sixth at 70,71 points.
